Movie Reviews....

Just a quick movie review of the last few movies I saw in theatres.
New Moon:
with Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and that overly blinky eye girl.
Sooo much better than the first movie. Thank goodness they got a better director. Still cheesy of course but such an improvement. Jacob totally owns in this movie. Have you looked at this 17 year old kid he is ripped like none other. He could totally own Edward in a battle supreme. Loved Jacob and liked Edward. Bella is annoying. The End.
3.75/5
The Young Victoria:
with Emily Blunt & Rupert Friend

After having recently watching the A&E version of Victoria & Albert I was excited to see this version. Although this movie is more of a romanticized version of their life I LOVED it! So fabulous. I didn't think I would like either of the people they chose to be in this movie but I thought that they both did a fabulous job. So beautiful. So romantic. So perfect.
4.75/5

Sherlock Holmes:
with Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law
After meeting Jude Law in NYC during the fall I was very excited to see this movie and I was NOT disappointed. I LOVED it! Especially the music. So haunting and mysterious. I am not a fan of Downey Jr. and couldn't see how I could go see a whole movie with him in it. But I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I love a good British mystery and who could resist seeing a movie with adorable Jude Law in it. Go see this soon! Great comedic adventure through the filthy streets of London.

Leap Year:
with Amy Adams & Matthew Goode
A predictable romantic comedy but sooo loved this movie! Who can resist a handsomely rugged Irish man whose manners need help, laughs at your face and drives you to your wits ends. Amy Adams is so adorable, sometimes it makes me sick but she is so perfect for this physical comedy roll. Matthew Goode is fantabulous and makes you want to hop on a plane and head directly to the Emerald Island for your own romantic adventure. Loved this movie! Great laughs and Goode is of course easy on the eyes!
4.75/5
An Education:
with Carey Mulligan & Peter Skarsgard

British coming of age story. Older man romances a younger girl. Started off good and then went down hill.

2.5/5

Avatar:
with Sam Worthington

What in the world was all the fuss about this movie? Yes very political. Yes very one with nature. Yes it made me VERY dizzy! I was not very excited about what I saw in this movie. Worthington was nice but other than that not what I expected. I can appreciate fantasy movies but this was not my favorite at all. ps. Not an original story at all. Rip off of Pochanotas and Fern Gully.

3/5

Invictus:

with Matt Damon & Morgan Freeman

I liked this movie. It was sort of like a documentary kinda story line. Very uplifting and inspirational. But the whole time I was watching it I was like, "What in the world is with Matt Damon's nose?" It looked weird and was totally off from what it normally is. Maybe he got hit a few two many times while in the Bourne movies or playing Rugby for this movie. Who knows but it was freaky!

4/5

ps. Sorry this is formatted weird. The dumb thing won't let me fix it. blah! Annoying.
